Elizabeth’s Bookshops: Book dealers since 1973

Elizabeth’s Bookshops are one of Australia’s largest second-hand bookshop operations, with 7 stores on both sides of the Australian continent.

Established in 1973, the distinctive green livery of Elizabeth’s Bookshops is now in Perth, Fremantle and Subiaco (WA) and Sydney CBD and Newtown (NSW).

For over 30 years, Elizabeth’s have been high-turnover second-hand booksellers.

Although we certainly have areas of particular interest (eg Art, History, Literature, Military, Performing Arts, Photography, etc.), the General nature of our bookselling usually places our prices well below those of our Specialist and Antiquarian colleagues.

As Sponsors of a Student Bursary at NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art), we endeavour to stock Play scripts relevant to Performing Arts courses.

Catalogue

The very small (1,000+ titles) Catalogue featured on this website is necessarily only a limited, representative selection of our stock of over 250,000 books.

Because we are essentially hands-on retail booksellers rather than catalogue dealers (and because we are frequently absent from our administrative base in Perth, on buying trips, or in Sydney), the catalogue is currently not updated as frequently as we would like.

We hope to improve this in the future!
