Most Arthur Upfield titles are now out-of-print and are thus increasingly scarce.
Arthur William Upfield is best known as the creator of Detective Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte (Bony) of the Queensland Police Force who features in 29 crime detection novels written between 1926 and 1966; most are set in the Australian outback. It is not so well known that he also wrote six published novels without Bony, two non-fiction books, and about 250 short stories and articles published in newspapers and magazines in Australia and other countries.
