Captain K J Barrett fell at the Western Front, 1917
On April 13 he commanded a company sup-supporting his battalion in an advance, and,although wounded early in the attack, he remained in command, and led the companythrough three hostile barrages, a distance ofover 1,700 yards across the open. His woundwas in the face, and, though unable tospeak, he continued to issue his orders inwriting.
