In the early 60’s he awoke one morning to a voice that said, “Buy a yacht and sail around the world”.
Murray Raynes grew up on the West Coast and did well at school except in academics, joined a water polo club and became a great boozer, trained as an electrician and never wired a house, a fighter pilot and never fired a shot in anger, flew jumbos jets and didn’t marry a hostie and now prospects for gold and hasn’t yet found the mother load. He had two son and two two daughters. He has played in a national golf championship inside what was then the iron curtain, trekked the Himalayas and, with his family had skied and ridden horses on most countries on this planet. He doesn’t live in Cottesloe. In the early 60’s he awoke one morning to a voice that said, “Buy a yacht and sail around the world” years later another voice said , “now write a book”.
