Yirra Yaakin (‘Stand Tall’, Noongar language) is Australia’s largest Aboriginal theatre company and in 2014 is celebrating 21 years of sharing Aboriginal stories. Starting in 1993 as a youth arts organisation with three staff members Yirra Yaakin today is an award winning cultural leader, advocate and artistic hub for Aboriginal people from all over Western Australia, Australia and around the world.
