His drawings have all the beauty humor and character of the best cartoons of the era, such as were often seen in the New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly in the 30’s 40’s 50′ and 60’s ..A vintage “coffee table book”. A few of the drawings (and no more) are even complete boat construction plans , though one would really need to be an experienced builder to use them..Garden did not draw up plans for the novice.
