Loco Profile – Volumes 1 to 4
Collective edition of the 36 ‘Loco Profile’ publications issued in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Each issue featured a locomotive type or class and included a centre colour scale artwork together with many other photographs.
World-wide locomotives were covered and the combined volumes each featured a mixed selection. The first two volumes included twelve issues while six were combined in each of the last two volumes. All volumes are uncommon, the last two particularly so.
Volume One – Profiles no. 1 to 12;
Volume Two – Profiles no. 13 to 24;
Volume Three – Profiles no. 25 to 30;
Volume Four – Profiles no. 31 to 36.
“Locomotives in Profile” is a series of books focusing on the history and design of various locomotive classes. The series, written by Brian Reed, includes detailed information and illustrations, including photographs and schematics. The first volume covers a range of notable steam locomotives from both Britain and America, while subsequent volumes delve into specific locomotive types and classes.
