Alan McCulloch (1908-92) was one of Australia’s foremost art critics. He wrote widely for Australian and international art journals and was director of the Mornington Peninsula Arts Centre 1970-91. His other books included The Golden Age of Australian Art, the Heidelberg School and Artists of the Australian Goldrush. Susan McCulloch is Alan McCulloch’s daughter and a Melbourne-based art writer and publisher.
