pp. 225, illusts #0218 Anthony Splivalo migrated to Kalgoorlie in 1911 and was interned as an enemy alien on Rottnest Island and at Holdsworthy (NSW) from 1915 to 1919. He left Australia for the USA in 1922. The Home Fires is primarily an autobiographical account of his internment.
