“The Maggies are the oldest club still playing in amateur football, having celebrated our Centenary Year in 2020, we are still competing at the highest level and introduced a Women’s Team in 2021 (who won a Premiership in their first year).

We have played in and won several A Grade Grand Finals. We have a great tradition with the first North Fremantle team competing in the WAFL from 1901 to 1915 when World War l intervened.

Our home ground is Gilbert Fraser Reserve, one of the best football ovals in Western Australia.

The club has great facilities – a fully stocked gymnasium, expert fitness coaches, qualified trainers, outstanding coaches.

We are the only club in Fremantle that has achieved Gold Status in the Bronze, Silver, Gold delineations as the litmus test of a club’s standing, set out by the WA Football Commission.”
The North Fremantle Amateur Football Club started off as the North Fremantle Football Club in 1921. The club joined the Fremantle Suburban Football Association (FSFA). Adopting the black and white colours, North Fremantle were traditionally nicknamed the Magpies.
In 18 years in the FSFA, North were third once, runners-up on 10 occasions and won 6 premierships including one undefeated premiership.

In 1939 the club was admitted to the West Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL). North added the word ‘Amateur’ and the North Fremantle Amateur Football Club was born.
