WEST AUSTRALIANA EDUCATION
Old Perth Boys School
Perth Boys School began its student intake in 1847 without a dedicated building for education. With the quickly expanding Swan River Colony the need of a permanent place for students to study grew, thus the Old Perth Boys School building was constructed over two years between February of 1853 to 1854.
Designed by Colonial Secretary William Ayshford Sanford in 1852, Old Perth Boys School was the first permanent education facility in the Swan River Colony, and one of the oldest buildings still standing in Australia.
First Edition.
