• EDITORIAL NOTE
  Don’t for sex’s sake, think that Knave has changed its attitudes at all, because of the interview with ‘the spouse of Mrs Whitehouse’ in Talkabout this month…
  The point is that we feel so confident of our own rightness when it comes to society, sexuality and freedom that we certainly don’t deny the opportunity to our opponents to air their views in our pages. Thus we were only too happy to reproduce this talk received from free-lancer Tony Slinn —presenting it without derision or nasty comments from us.
  It is, however, interesting to think that, in the clean-up campaigners’ ideal society, presumably there would be no opportunity for their opponents to be seen or heard—since media such as ours would be ‘verboten’!
  Our use of ‘verboten’ brings us onto another highlight of this Knave—namely Third Reich Art. We’ve been very lucky to obtain exclusive magazine publication rights to pictures from this asyet-unpublished book.
  Incidentally, aficionados of Nazi art who saw ‘something similar’ in the Sunday Times a little while ago will find a lot that’s different in Knave’s look at paintings etc. of that sinister regime which, like some classic gruesome horror film, continues to fascinate so many people.
  Mandy still lives, you’ll be glad to see. Despite the dreadful hints in.a recent Knave Talkabout that she is beginning to feel very tired (and little wonder when you think what she’s done for Knave readers in the last year or so), our unique girl diarist is still going strong. Perhaps all those sad letters and suicide notes from devotees that greeted what was only a ‘whisper’, have revived her…
  Arabella Melville, yet another lady contributor, joins Knave regulars like Mandy Moore and Pamela ‘Sexperiments’ Garland in this issue. Here you have ‘the thoughts of Bella’ which hopefully you’ll find stimulating. However, from next month onwards, we exploit girls on an even more ‘practical’ basis when Countess Zichy takes over Quillpower-our letters section. She will be giving her comments on your comments about Knave, and so we expect our postbag to be even fuller in the months ahead, now that you have a pretty—and very bright—lady savouring what you say you like and hate in Britain’s fastest growing 50p magazine for men…
