  EDITORIAL NOTE
  Knave dreads the thought of boredom or repetition ever creeping into its pages. And our unique girl diarist, Miss Moore—who shows you what she does in pictures as well as writing about it—feels very much the same way. So, unlike a lot of ‘girl diarists’ in other men’s magazines who go on and on, and have, must have thoroughly outstayed their welcome by now, our beloved Mandy signs off this month—in a fairly dramatic way, but that, as Knave regulars will know, is the only way Mandy has ever operated. . . . Dramatic Mandy might be, but irresponsible never (except, perhaps, when it comes to lust) —and, in this issue without any let-up, in Knave’s lady diarist’s erotic place, you’ll meet stunning Eve Astor. We’ll be fascinated to know what you think of our new, lovely and utterly uninhibited zo year old. So do start putting your pen to paper right now to let Eve know how you feel about her—and don’t worry: she can take insults as well as praise. Equally, why not tell her what you would like to see her getting up to in future Knaves, for your delight? Of course, if you are reluctant to write to Eve with your innermost thoughts about her debut, don’t forget you can always address yourself to Daphne, Countess Zichy who is now hosting our other Readers’ Letters section. Incidentally, we should like to take this opportunity to scotch those various rumours about why Mandy Moore left. Even the dear old News of the Screws got onto us about one, quite untrue, rumour the other day. At least it’s nice to know they’re showing so much interest and that their feature having a go at Lord Beaumont for writing for such an enlightened magazine as Knave (he’s with us as usual this month) wasn’t a flash in the pan! In general, however, it does seem to be Knave’s ladies who are getting all the attention nowadays. Nearly all our post seems to be either for Daphne or Mandy—and what isn’t for them is for Pamela Garland, author-person of our startling Sexperiments series. This insatiable, hairy temptress from Surrey really does seem to have caught on in a big big way, the dirty girl!
