About the Author: Gerard McLennan lived in Melbourne, Australia for the first fourteen years of his life. He experienced active service in Borneo, South Vietnam and off Iceland as a young naval officer. Twenty two years later he achieved his career objective of command of the guided missile frigate HMAS Adelaide (FFG-01).

Gerard left the navy in 1987. Since then he has managed his own Defence and Aerospace Consultancy P-CON Knowledge Systems in Sydney, Australia. #170315
